Why I'm a grammar pedant
I heard this stated on the radio this morning relating to a fracas at Old Trafford.
"Something's gone off in the players' tunnel."
Just read that again but shift the apostrophe one character to the left.
"Something's gone off in the player's tunnel."
Puts a whole new meaning to the phrase doesn't it?
Have fun.

Maybe something going off in a player's tunnel caused something to go off in the players' tunnel.

Have you been thinking about this all day?
