K's just ordered some "nutrional supplements". Ie a waste of money when you could eat properly instead. Anyway the stuff arrived and has come with a catalogue of further rubbish. AND it came with a similar catalogue of "pet products". So along with the standard "de-worming" stuff and "healthy fur and bones" tinctures there are some hysterical products in there.

I'll start with "Aggression Formula - Control aggressive pets" - seems fair enough. But who on earth would need

"EasyTravel Solution - Pet motion sickness remedy"? Or what about

"Grief and Pining Formula - For pet depression"? Or even

"PetCalm - Soothe anxious pets naturally"? Or my all time fave

"Performance Plus - For pet's mental clarity".

Who dreams up this pile of garbage?

Have fun.

I'm interested in 2 news stories today.

The first was that girl who wanted to wear extra-islamic dress to school and has been off school for 2 years because they won't let her back without wearing the approved uniform. Apparently the school had spent ages working with the local islamic community to figure out what they should ask for to please the community. The majority of girls at the school are muslim and they managed to get along fine with the rules. Now forgive me if I'm wrong but the rule in islam is for women to be modest. What, pray tell, is modest about kicking up a fuss and becoming the centre of attention? I also recall that there is a commandment in islam that obliges you to get educated. Seems like an irritating teen girl wanting to get noticed to me. Sounds very un-Islamic really. Stupid little girl.

The second one was the study that there is no evidence that shows spinal manipulation is useful for reducing pain and other problems. On the news this evening they interviewed some young woman who swears by osteopathy. She was 31 and has been going to an osteopath for 9 months "and it really works wonders for me". Really? It works so well that you go fortnightly to a man who charges you a fortune each time and still your back is so bad that you must return? She's a 31 year old. She shouldn't need to carry on like this. There's no reason at all that she should have to suffer and she shouldn't have to fork out every fortnight for "maintenance". Go and see someone who knows what they are doing and get a cure!

Honestly!

Have fun.

I've a problem with my internet set up.

I'm happily working or browsing on the net and everything works fine. Then for some reason a regular website of mine stops being accessible. For instance tonight after writing the previous entry here the damn thing stopped me being able to access blogspirit to perhaps edit things further or write a new entry. I've had to reboot my router to allow me to re-access this site to be able to type this out. Previously it has done the same on my photos page but there it allowed me to see the page only without any pictures. Not a great deal of use for a photos page you'll agree (unless you don't like my photos of course). Again this will work properly again if I re-boot the router.

What is going on?

Anyone any clues? Virus check comes out clean. Symantec check comes out clean. Haven't got a spyware checker at the mo. This likely to be the problem?

Have fun and "ta" for any good ideas.
